Happy Belated Pioneer Day!!!
Well, yesterday was Pioneer Day here in Utah. The day that we celebrate our Pioneer AKA Mormon heritage. How do we do this? We put crepe paper on trailers and drag people around at extremely slow speeds, through high-90s temps, to wave at other people who have been sleeping on the sidewalk all night. Yay, Utah!

I grew up here as a kid and went to the parades and watched the fireworks. My mother who was an ex-mormon (and the most anti-mormon religon I know) always told me that the 24th was Utah’s Birthday. So I always thought of it that way and still do, infact it was only a couple of years ago, that I realized its a mormon holiday. I like the fact that we have basicly two fourth of July’s. Its fun for me and my son who loves to watch fireworks!!

Instead they celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing and they posted some interesting photos of entirely different places and events though. We also have some interesting thoughts on philosophy and religion: […]

I agree w/Anonymous…
And, I’d rather eat all the crape paper in the world instead of having to move back there! Now that’d be a cool float to see.
