And another new friend….

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Coming to us straight out of Orem, Happy Valley, Utah, we have Diddly, er dlddustin.

He says:

If you believe that the LDS church is false then declare it so. Proliferating obvious lies do not help your cause. LDS people would find the idea of a Joseph Smith nativity heretical. This is part of a trend of anti mormons proliferating supposed beliefs that Mormons would not recognize. If your beliefs are true than promote them and they will prosper.

I did, Diddly. Didn’t ya read the blog before typing your inane and rather redundant comment? What obvious lies? WHAT LIES? Give us proof. Tell us the lies, so we can address them. Saying someone is “lying,” but being unable to provide proof is not good form, and it makes YOU look like an idiot. So step up to the plate, Diddly.

If LDS people would find the idea of a Joseph Smith nativity heretical, then why did BYU do it? I have the PICTURES to prove it!

Your claims are patently false. Show me the lies, and then perhaps we shall listen to your claims. Facts is facts, Diddly. If you choose to stick your head in the sand, and ignore all the controversial aspects of your religion, that’s YOUR choice. The pictures are from BYU, and it IS a Joseph Smith Nativity. End of story. Prove otherwise. I dare you to try.

And incidentally, this is not a religious blog. I’m not trying to tell ANYONE what to believe. I’m just telling you what I believe. You can do the same. Just expect to have to stand up to your statements, like I do, every single day.

I LAUGH IN YOUR FACE–HA HA

I really think that some people don’t get it. When I find RANDOM hate mail comments, I really DO think it’s funny. I am not kidding here, people. FUN-NY.

This one is no exception.

I laugh at you and your stupidity.

We laugh back, Matt! Ha ha! Let’s laugh together, Elder I. The reason I’m laughing, of course, is not even close to your reason. Matt’s email says he is Elder I. Not really, but I am masking his identity, for his own good of course, because HE was not smart enough to see that by putting together his first name with his email address, I pretty much know his full name.

I’ve made it my personal mission to protect the terminally stupid from themselves. So see, Matt? We laugh together.

And then there’s our new friend Ruth–who by the way should invest in a good grammar course, so that we all are not forced to dig out our eyes with spoons when we try to read her writing. She thinks I am petty. Among other things. Ruth left us two comments. We are so lucky, Trappees.

Very petty!!! Jews dress for days or events, as do nuns, priests…….its not really that big a deal! Would you be saying this if you lived in an arbian country and the women wore DIFFERENT clothes? Would you feel LEFT OUT? Grow up!! Get a job!! Get a grip!! If these things are all you have to worry about in your lives then….well…..poor you!! lol!! Pathetic! Whatever you do dont dress up for christm,as this year!! You might offend a non western person!! I have heard it all now!!!

I have had a look at this site and had a wander through the petty slaggings off of the church and each other….I USED to be a member and a MISSIONARY. I am no longer a member out of choice, not out of a lose of faith in god. I think it is very easy to slag god, no matter which religion he is being praised from. It is also a very dangerous game to play. I think that if people are happy and doing the best they can to BE the best they can then who are you, or anyone, to belittle them ? After all, YOU do not know gods mind, you could be WRONG…..ever thought of that?! They could be wrong…so could the pope!! No matter the religion, as long as no harm is done and the best is attempted by the individual, you should leave people alone. We all go with what we feel is right. Thats the best we can do. You cannot ask more of a person.
Personally i think hate mail is very sad. It shows a lack of maturity and concideration for others. Were you bullied as a child or left feeling unworthy in some way? It is the kind of bitching one finds in the playground at school. ‘ Lets make someone feel crap so we can feel powerful and better about our own miserable lives and situations!’ It rarely works long term. You obviously have a lot of anger issues. Therapy maybe?
All the best!…..

I like the “all the best” at the end. Sort of like “We-are-beating-you-with-this-wooden-spoon-because-we-love-you” logic, all wrapped up with good wishes and warm hearts and exclamation points.

Was I bullied as a child? Not really. Ruth, don’t you think you should leave the psychoanalysis to people who can actually SPELL?

This type of demeaning comment, of course, is meant to shut me up, embarrass me, and make sure I never again utter the word “Mormon.”

Mormons, listen up. (Please note that is the plural of the “M” word, so technically, perhaps her comments are working…. Nah.)

I also don’t believe Ruth is no longer a Mormon. But good try.

This, Ruth, is an alternative viewpoint. Wow, amazing. Those exist? Yup.
