Things that make you go ICK…..
Since it’s that “making a list” time of year, I thought I’d make my own list–albeit one of things that make you go “ick.” Or at least make ME go ick.
1. Selling Mormon garments on E-Bay. First of all, WHY in God’s name would anyone NOT associated with the LDS church want a pair of these funny underwear? They are not cute. Even worse, how do you know they are NEW? Huh? It’s all just ick, both buyers and sellers. Sorry.
2. Picketing in front of Temple Square, waving said garments. NO one wants to see these things, trust me.
3. Picketing in front of Temple Square waving ANYTHING. No matter WHAT my friend Drew thinks, I do not ever picket in front of someone’s place of worship. People only FIND my blog by searching it out. I do not flaunt it in anyone’s face. And I NEVER, ever go door to door, unlike some OTHER people we know….
4. Mormon bishops who call former Mormons and ask them to turn their Mormon garments IN to them, so they don’t fall into the wrong hands and end up on E-bay. What the hell are they DOING with someone’s used underwear? This is especially icky when the former member they call is a woman. ICK.
5. Dressing up like a clown and harassing the “preachers” picketing in front of Temple Square, and not being smart enough to realize that they are just bringing EVEN MORE attention to said picketing preachers, plus showing the world how incredibly stupid THEY are.
6. Utah State Sen. D. Chris Buttars, West Jordan, who, in trying to force gay-straight alliance clubs out of Utah high schools, says: “In my mind, if you are in the chess club, what do you talk about? Chess. If you are in the dance club, what do you talk about? Dance. If you are in the gay club, what do you talk about?” Can you say repressed latent homosexuality? I’ve talked with many gay people about being gay, and it’s never ONCE made me want to be gay. I think the phrase “in my mind” is key. We are DAMN glad we aren’t in your mind.
7. Yogurt with fruit at the bottom. The ick factor here is ENORMOUS. Nothing worse than eating something smooth and finding big lumps and clumps at the bottom. Gag. Almost worse than Utah State Sen. D. Chris Buttars and his deviant mind. Almost.
8. People who try to attribute homosexual tendencies to animated cartoon characters. We’ve already established I find this absolutely ridiculous. Spongebob is asexual. He’s like a EUNUCH without the ugly castration issues, people. The gay accusations are NOT gonna fly. He’s an equal opportunity sponge….OH great. Now the bisexual accusations are going to fly….

My name is Tyler Scott And I come from a mormon lds family. I was readng a website about people who don’t want to wear underclothing and being forced by the mormon religion to wear their garment’s. it’s never been a secret that their are people who go without any underclothing. As for me My parent’s never bought any underwear for me. i was taught that some people need to wear underwear and are better off wearing their underclothing. And that their are people who don’t need to wear underwear and are better off not wearing any. I was taught to go without wearing underwear and growing up I felt good, comfortable, and appropiate for never haveing any to wear at all. I am a mormon and my family goes to church every sunday. We follow the church thuroughly except in one aspect. No one in my family wear’s underclothing and both my parent’s grew up dressing this way in their family’s. Their parent’s also dressed without undecloth’s as well. It is extremly heriditary to dress this way in my family and I am very proud to be an individual who has never had any underclothing to wear and will never wear underclothing at all. I went without underclothing everyday of my life and I find nothing wrong, inappropriate, unworthy, disrespectful at all in any way for being as non underwear wearing as possible. I truly do believe God know’s how I feel about underclothing and he would consider it wrong for me to ever try and wear any underclothing for just only half a minute. I have never worn any thing undernieth in place of underclothing either. The only thing I have ever worn and will ever wear ondernieth my pant’s is the inside of my pant’s with nothing else covering my bare skin undernieth. That is the only way I dress and will ever dress and I am not ashemed of it. I have dressed this way everyday of my life going into kindergarten, and all through school. I have always gone this way in church. I didn’t even wear underwear when I was baptized at age 8 and my parent’s and I didn’t ever wear any underclothing in the temple doing baptizims for the dead. Niether one of my parent’s wore any on their missions. they have never even owne’d any garment’s or any other kind of under garment. They raised me and my sister this way. my family is well off with money and people who have known my family would never think that we dress this way in our family and we believe very strongly that we don’t need to wear any underwear and to dress this way is very proper and extremely appropiate for us. To force someone to wear underclothing for the sake of belong to a religion is so extremely wrong. It would make someone like me feel the same way you would feel if you wear told that you need to go without ever wearing any underwear for the sake of your religion. I truly believe and have felt that it would be wrong for me to try and wear underclothing. It makes me feel pretty sick and is extremely disturbing for me to think that I would have to dress against my will and the only way I have ever dressed. It’s good you like wearing your garment’s and it’s just as good I like wearing my clothes without anything on undernieth. How would you feel if the lds faith said going without underclothing is the way God want;ss you to dress as a test of faith. Would you dress this way even if it was better for you to dress this way and you liked going without wearing any underclothing at all. Or are you so set in your standards that even if God said it was the way to dress and it was better dressing that way would you still wear them of would you start going without ever haveing any. It really does go both way’s and I personally know many people who are mormon who never wear underwear and dress their children this way. Seriously I honestly dress this way and I honestly know a lot of LDS members who dress without underclothing and family’s that go without any underclothing at all. I would not lie about this because it would be something completly embarassing and could come back on my family. I want you to know everything I’ve said is the truth and is not exaggerated or false in any way. Thank’s for reading and my name is Tyler Scott and I live in Syracuse Utah and I have never had any underwear or ever put any underwear on at all. I love dressing this way and I actually prefer people to know how I dress. I don’t want it keept secret because I love being someone who grew up without ever wearing underclothing and someone who has always refused to wear anything undernieth and will always dress without any underclothing. Thank’s again:

I am not LDS, but after setting up a second residence in the Salt Lake area I have noticed that wearing a garment may not be required by the Church, BUT to survive you need to have it. The LDS residents are the most bigoted people I have ever happened on to and the “visible” seams of the Garment are what you need to have in order to be treated as a HUMAN being. Without the seams, the community will not treat you with any respect, will not answer the most simple questions, just plain act like you do not exist. I have never been annoyed by any group in my 60 years, but I can tell you that living in a Mormon community has taught me what a CULT is. Jim Jones was a Saint next to these people and their superior, arrogant and very ignorant culture. Hospitality, family, friendship, and caring have no place in these people’s lives. They are mindless tools of a hideous and poison environment.

[…] I had forgotten about this VERY amusing quote, or at least had forgotten that HE said it, until he brought it to my mind again with all his idiotic posturing. “In my mind, if you are in the chess club, what do you talk about? Chess,” Buttars said. “If you are in the dance club, what do you talk about? Dance. If you are in a gay club, what do you talk about? I just don’t believe members of sexual orientation clubs should be sanctioned by the public schools — what they are talking about even a part of the public schools. They should not be allowed to have that on school property at all. It’s just wrong.” […]

I think the author has forgotten that the church is made up of individual people. Possibly these individual people are not aware that she has removed her name. Possibly these individual people love and miss her and are trying to extend a hand of friendship and fellowship. Possibly they are trying to show her that they accept her even if she prefers not to be a member of the church. Would it be better to be shunned?

It makes no sense to me that people are forced to wear underwear because they are in a certain religion. If it’s that restrictive, maybe they should consider a new religion.
